How long have you been
an Interior Designer?
SL: As a native New Yorker, I grew up in a
small bedroom, but always made the room feel bigger than it was. Since my studies at F.I.T., I have
worked with designers in New York and Colorado. As a designer in Colorado, I
specialized in Kitchen & Bath Design, an area of extreme intricacy
that requires a strong attention to detail. Since then, I have gained the knowledge and skill of a resourceful designer working
alongside interesting and wonderful clients!

Do you have a personal style? How does it translate
into your projects?
SL: Everyone
has a personal style, yet at times, we bring in too many outside influences. We
can listen to the advice of one too many friends or look at too many NEW styles
in magazines. As an Interior Designer I am constantly involved in the Design
world, so I have had to narrow my vision to what I enjoy around me. I translate
this to the client's advantage by blending in his or her personal taste with
new innovative design and creative accents. I also love color, bold or
subtle, and intricate details that allow each room to be exceptional
and personal.

What's the best way for you to begin understanding my taste and style?
SL:
The best way, aside from our conversations regarding the project, is for
the client to have fun looking through Design Magazines. Whether you like a
space for its simple style, bold color, "cool looking chaise" or even "that
little detail in the corner", I say "tear it out" and show me!
